    Tose Zafirov

    Mr. Olympia Representative

    Tose Zafirov:

I would love to say that I am extremely honored to have you on this blog. It is always a joyful experience to see native Macedonian people succeed in the football industry, and you are one of the best. So tell us something about yourself, Nataša.

    Nataša Andonova:

Hello, I’m Nataša Andonova. First, I want to congratulate you guys on this inspiring blog. With this blog, you will motivate a lot of potentials to pursue their dreams, and I am glad that one of these motivational stories will be my story.

I can tell you that I’m brave, strong, and independent! I’m a young girl who never gave up on her ambition and who defies the stereotype that football is just for men. I am still fighting for the same rights to this very day.

    Tose Zafirov:

You are one of the most successful Macedonian female football players. So, tell us, how did this journey begin? How did you get into the world of football?

    Nataša Andonova:

This journey began when I was a kid, and I can say that the most guilty person for my love for this game is my father. He was the first person to put a ball in my hands, always took me with him on his training sessions, always supported me, and constantly told me that this journey won’t be easy, but I should not give up.

    Tose Zafirov:

Could you tell us a little bit more about your training sessions and what you generally do to prepare for a match?

    Nataša Andonova:

Usually, I have 2 hours of training per day, but I often prefer to go to the gym and do it by myself. In the beginning, there were things I didn’t like at all, but now football is my lifestyle!

    Tose Zafirov:

Given the time and work necessary to pursue a career like this, what encouraged you to begin? In addition, who was your mentor or inspiration when you first started?

    Nataša Andonova:

As I mentioned before, all of this started thanks to my dad. In the beginning, my motivation was Marta from Brasil, the most famous female footballer who won 5 Balon D’Oro, and my biggest wish was to play with her in the same club, which became a reality.

We played in the same club in 2015 in Sweden and are still very good friends to this day.

    Tose Zafirov:

What kind of diet do you implement to keep yourself fit, strong, and healthy for your daily activities with intensive training?

    Nataša Andonova:

I am always careful about what I eat because that is one of the most important things in football. In every club I went to, a nutritionist always took care of our food. However, I took it to the next level in the last months, thanks to Ivica Janev.

    Tose Zafirov:

What does an average day in the life of Nataša look like? Do you have any hobbies or other activities that keep you occupied?

    Nataša Andonova:

I’m a morning person. First, I have a training session with my club. Then, it depends on the day, but I generally have a lot of responsibilities, so my days are pretty busy. For motivation, I read books and always like to learn new things and improve myself because I always want more and more.

    Tose Zafirov:

How does it feel like to play on global teams loved by millions of fans? Furthermore, how do you not let fame get to your head?

    Nataša Andonova:

The feeling of playing in front of a full stadium is amazing, and most of the time, I’m not even aware of my achievements.

The game never gets to my head because I’m always natural, and I know that the stairs to success are not easy.

    Tose Zafirov:

Where do you see yourself in the next ten years? Do you have any new goals set for yourself?

    Nataša Andonova:

My biggest goal is to win the Champions League for the next ten years. However, only God knows what can happen.

    Tose Zafirov:

How did you pick the team you wanted to play in? And what’s more important for you in a team - the other players, the management, the manager, or something else?

    Nataša Andonova:

When you are good enough, the opportunity comes by itself. It’s important to have good teammates, a good relationship with the coach, a positive mind, and a lot of patience. Still, one of the most important things is to have a good medical team.

    Tose Zafirov:

What would you say if you had the opportunity to send a message to the entire world?

    Nataša Andonova:

Believe in yourself and never give up. Always stay close to your family because if it weren’t for my mom, dad, and sister, I would never be where I’m now.
