Hello everyone, and welcome to my first interview. The interview series will welcome professionals I admire for their professional or personal achievements. Today, I had the pleasure of talking to Kevin Levrone, a professional IFBB bodybuilder, IFBB Hall of Famer, musician, blogger, my dear friend, and fellow associate.
Kevin began his professional IFBB career in 1991 and completed 68 IFBB professional contests over the years. It’s safe to say that during the 90s and 2000s, Levrone was one of the biggest names in the industry. He has won 23 pro shows, holding the record for the most wins as an IFBB professional until 2004.
While Kevin stopped competing in 2003, he never officially retired. On the contrary, he took time off and dedicated it to doing something different. He went through injuries and surgeries, played sports, acted in several films, and released an online training platform and a supplement line, “Kevin Levrone Signature Series.”
Then, in the last few years, Kevin has made a remarkable comeback. He appeared in the Mr. Olympia contest in 2016 at 51 by a special invite. He had only five months to prepare and managed to place 17th. Including this performance, Kevin has been in 13 Mr. Olympia competitions, earning the nickname “The Uncrowned King of Mr. Olympia.” Finally, Kevin performed at the Arnold Classic Australia competition in 2016, his last competition.
Levrone’s success follows him to this day when he is already an established icon and a motivation for many people who want to follow in his footsteps. I have met Kevin, and he is my inspiration as well. So, without further ado, let’s start with the interview.
