Kevin Levrone is a world-class IFBB professional bodybuilder, with years of experience in the industry.
Levrone competed in a total of 68 IFBB Professional contests and won 23 pro shows which made him a record-holding bodybuilder in 2004, a title he held until 2016.
It’s safe to say that during the 90s and 2000s, Levrone was one of the biggest names in the industry, and his success follows him to this day when Levrone is already an established icon and a motivation for many people who want to follow in his footsteps.
1. Who Is Kevin Levrone?
Q: Hello, Kevin, and thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me. Before we begin, do you mind introducing yourself to our audience and telling them something more about yourself?
A: Thank you. Kevin Levrone here. I believe in God, I believe in helping people, and I am very thankful and grateful to be here in Macedonia.
2. How Did You Start?
Q: You are one of the world’s most sought after male bodybuilding/fitness models. What got you started in this industry?
A: I wanted to be healthy, I wanted longevity in life, and I think self-respect for myself. So many people don’t take care of themselves, but as a child, I wanted to look my best.
3. What Are Some of Your Achievements?
Q: Tell me more about your background in bodybuilding. What titles have you won, and what has been your greatest moment in the sport?
A: I think my greatest moment in the sport was probably every moment I competed as a professional.
I never thought that my life would end up being the way and the level that it is in the sport of bodybuilding.
But I think every moment I’ve ever prepared for contests was a good lesson learned for me and something I’ll always cherish and remember.
4. What Are Kevin Levrone Supplements?
Q: Can you tell me more about the brand Kevin Levrone Supplements and the idea behind it?
A: The brand Kevin Levrone is a signature series of supplements.
The whole career I wanted to make something available to the people, a supplement that mimics my career in a straightforward way – no-nonsense and honest. It was my dream to leave this behind after competing.
So this is something I wanted to give to the people. All knowledge and education that I’ve learned through the industry about supplements, I wanted to put it into the Levrone Signature Series, and I feel that we accomplished this.
5. What Makes a Champion?
Q: What separates a champion from a non-champion in your view, and why?
A: It’s the mental though. A champion has to believe in himself, a champion has to stand by his decisions, and a champion also has to have the visualization to be able to separate moments, plow through good and bad, no matter what it is and just never quit and never give up.
As I said, a champion has to believe in himself, and know that it is up to him. Don’t ever rely on anyone to do anything else for you.
A great champion is a great warrior from the inside out. He always stands strong and firm. He knows who he is, and is 100 percent ready to commit to his goal.
6. What Other Interests Do You Have?
Q: I imagine training and work take off a lot of your time. What hobbies and interests do you have to balance out your life?
A: Life is about balance and I believe that how I feel, is how I live. I try to spend a lot of time alone and meditation gives me balance.
I focus on the future and I always remember the past and where I came from.
My parents are no longer here and remembering them and my childhood keeps me balanced and allows me to remember where I come from and to be a good father to my son moving forward.
So, I think these are the things that keep me rooted and keep me balanced.
7. What Is Your Training Routine?
Q: What training and nutrition methods gave you the greatest bodybuilding results? Can you briefly explain your training sessions and routines?
A: The training and nutrition is something that I created by spending time with myself. All of my training formulas are custom.
All pushing muscles or all pulling muscles are trained together. I do a three on and one-off. I try to complete one body part in 45 minutes, not longer.
I go into the gym with the vision and the focus, and I already know what I’m going to do when I get into the gym and it’s on a time clock.
So this is my training. I do this with each and every body part. I listen to my body. If I don’t feel like training that day, I don’t push it. Nutrition is the same. My nutrition is based on how my body feels.
I have an overall composition of the caloric intake that I know that I need.
However, depending on the workload that I put on my body in the gym, I determine what my body is capable of digesting at that moment, along with the rest and recovery.
So three combinations – training, rest and recovery, and nutrition.
8. How Do You Stay Motivated?
Q: Your overall achievement and progress are an inspiration. Do you consider yourself strong-minded? How has your mind influenced your life? Also, can you tell us what is your daily source of motivation and who is your biggest supporter?
A: I think that my daily source of motivation is knowing that I have responsibilities. Not for myself, but I feel like God has given me a great opportunity to do positive things and help other people.
So, I look forward to this, and it’s what gives me the motivation to continue to move forward through all of my challenges. Because it’s not just for me.
It’s a lesson learned, and something I will always remember to pass forward. Never quit, never give up, and never lose, no matter how long it takes. Because the bad times don’t last forever.
Every day we learn a lesson, and I am looking forward to meeting everyone wherever I go around the world and no matter what form of society they come from.
Whether it’s the rich, the poor, the homeless, it can all be a lesson learned, every second, and every aspect of it.
9. What Are Your Plans Now?
Q: Are you training for anything right now? Also, do you have any future plans for your career, and where do you see yourself in, let’s say, 5 years from now?
A: I’m always in life training. Every day, in life, there’s something new, so I look forward to that. That’s my training.
My plans moving forward are to be a great father and a good role model for my son. To structure his life, and to let him know his responsibilities as a young man growing up.
Also, I want to reach back and be a father to my fans who don’t have fathers out there, be a brother to my bodybuilding brothers who don’t have brothers, and just to be a loyal and good servant to the better mankind and each and every country no matter where I’m at.
10. What Would You Tell Your Younger Self?
Q: Finally, is there something you want to say to all the people out there who want to pursue this path? Can you give them one piece of advice that really helped you?
A: Just trust and believe in yourself. Trust and believe in your instincts, and don’t be afraid to spend time alone.
When I say spend time alone I refer to the fact that you will find a lot of things out about yourself that way. Don’t involve yourself in anything negative.
Focus on the good energy, and always spend some time with nature. Spend some time praying and spend some time listening to your six senses. This is the best advice that I possibly can give to you.
Thank you very much for your honest and inspiring answers, Kevin. I wish you all the best in all your future endeavors; to be as successful as up until now, and possibly more.
